FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.) What is the Omaha Parks Program?

The Omaha Parks Program was created by the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department to give businesses the opportunity to showcase their brand in City sport complexes. Net proceeds go into a special enterprise fund to support special park programs and projects that are not part of the City parks’ budget.

2.) How Are the Locations Sold?

You may purchase advertising rights at the location(s) of your choice. Locations are being sold by business type. The companies who own the rights can get in front of their competitors at these high traffic locations.

3.) How Much Does It Cost?

The advertising rates are lower than similar programs like TD Ameritrade, Werner Park, Ralston Arena, the CenturyLink Center or traditional outdoor billboards.

4.) What About Traffic Counts?

In many cases total traffic counts at these new locations outperform other similar programs. Please contact us for a traffic count breakdown by location.

5.) How Long is the Advertising Cycle?

The advertising cycle runs from May 1st through May 1st annually.

6.) Can I Secure Locations for 2017?

Yes, reservations are now open.

7.) Are There Added Bonuses?

Yes, all Omaha Parks Program supporters are featured on the supporters page with their logo and link to their website. The City of Omaha Parks & Recreation Department also has a link on their website. Depending on the park, there is added exposure to drive by traffic ranging from 40K-50K cars per day. We also send out emails about the program and its supporters as well as posts on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.​​

8.) What Will My Ad(s) Look Like?

Our focus in 2017 will center around the City’s top four locations; Tranquility North Soccer Complex, Seymour Smith Park, Moylan Ice Arena and the Elmwood Golf Course. This year will be better than ever! Larger banners, better placement, and limited availability are some of the highlighted changes this season.

The golf courses have many options starting with hole and golf cart sponsorships, scorecards and pencils.

9.) Can I Have Multiple Ads in the Same Park?

Yes, you can purchase additional displays as part of a complex package for a onetime fee. Banners are available at the same size as the original display. If you are interested in multiple displays at one park, please contact us to discuss your complex package.

10.) Are There Any Discounts?

Yes, there are discounts available. There are a prepay discount and a discount for nonprofits. Please contact us for more information.

11.) Do I Need to Give You the Finished Ad, or Can You Design it?

If you have a design team you can certainly create the artwork for your ad(s) based on our artwork templates and design requirements. If you do not have the artwork templates, please contact us so we can get the appropriate files to you. If you do not have a design team, our design department will work with you to create the best ad to showcase your business.
